Day 4: How to Edit Your Photos | Better Photography for Your Blog

There will be times when you set up everything right on your camera, take your pictures and only after exporting them to your computer you notice that you should have left something out of the frame, or you should have made it a little bit brighter. And sometimes you can’t just go back and take the picture again. So what do you do? Thankfully, there are tons of editing programs that can help you with that. For my blog, I mainly use the Picasa editor, which is free and has a lot of great features you can use for your pictures. Here are some basic things, the ones I use the most on my pictures: cropping, adding light, working with the contrast and the color temperature. Here is how to do all that in the Picasa editor:

That is basically it when it comes to editing my photos. If you try to follow the guidelines of using your camera, editing pictures shouldn’t be much of a hassle. Hope this gave a better insight into how you can work with your pictures and make them look better.
