effective skincare for dry skin flatlay

Today we’re talking about a super effective skincare for dry skin.

A skincare routine is one of those things that I’m not the best at keeping up with, but I’m trying to get better at it. Being a mom, a lot of the times I will just crash in bed at night without removing my makeup – which is really bad for your skin, I know. So in an effort to hold myself accountable for that and to maintain a better skincare routine at night, I decided to share with you the products that I’m currently using to keep my skin healthy and glowing.

La Roche Posay Lip Balm

If I don’t apply lip balm religiously, my lips get super dry and it gets really annoying when I’m trying to put on any type of lipstick, so this is one product that is mandatory in my skincare routine. I try to apply it every night and as frequently as I remember throughout the day.

Bioderma Sebium Exfoliating Gel

Ok, I forgot to include this product in the picture (#mombrain), but here is what it looks like in case you’re interested: LINK. I looove this product. It has glycolic acid in it, which is supposed to help a lot with cleansing your skin thoroughly. My skin feels really smooth after I use this.

La Roche Posay Effaclar H Cleansing Balm

This is a really gentle product on the face. It’s quite soothing and it has a milky consistency. I use this on days when I don’t want to use something too harsh, like the Bioderma exfoliating scrub.

Vichy Makeup Remover Oil

This is my favourite makeup remover I’ve ever tried. You basically apply it with your hands and then wash your face and – voila! – you are makeup free. I like that it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all, unlike some other products I’ve tried.

Unfortunately, I can’t find this product anywhere at the moment – no drugstore or online store that I usually shop at has this product. I’m not sure if it was discontinued or something, so I’m currently on the look out for another oil for removing makeup. If you have any recommendations for that, leave me a comment.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Cream, Serum & Eye Gel

This range from Vichy is one of my favourites and I have actually repurchased these a few times already. The serum is amazing! I love using it at night before applying the cream or in the morning on its own, just as a hydrating base before I apply foundation. It’s really light, but quite hydrating at the same time. I love it!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream

I’m currently alternating between these two eye creams, the Estee Lauder one and the Vichy Aqualia Thermal one. I like how moisturizing they both are. I’m mainly using these to prevent fine lines and to help moisturize the eye area so my concealer doesn’t crease.

The Body Shop Intensely Revitalising Oil

I’m almost out of this oil, but I’m pretty sure I’ll go pick it up again. I love the scent and the smooth texture that my skin has the next day after applying it. It’s just lovely!

Hope you enjoyed reading a bit about my favourite skincare products at the moment. I think this is a very effective skincare for dry skin that has worked wonderfully for me.
