Buying presents for toddlers can be so much fun. But sometimes you need a bit of extra inspiration for the festive season. Here is my holiday gift guide for toddlers for Christmas 2020.
I’ve included books, toys, clothing and some random bits that I think your toddlers will love. Most of these things we already own or are on my list to buy soon for my boy.
Also, I’ve tried to incorporate as many small shops as I could in this gift guide. Because if there ever was a time to support small businesses as much as we can, it’s this year.
Teepee – This teepee is what dreams are made of. It’s made by a small Etsy shop and it’s on my list. Not sure if I’ll get it for Christmas or later on, but I really want to get something like this for my son’s room. I know he will love it for his reading corner.
Wooden figurines – The Christmas wooden figurines are from a small shop owned by a lovely mum friend of mine. I bought these for my toddler and he loves using them for role play. They are adorable and such great quality too.
Enamel mug – These mugs are perfect because they’re not breakable, but they also make little ones feel like they’re using proper mugs (instead of plastic ones). My toddler has a similar one and he loves it.
Christmas jumper – Sometimes a cute Christmas jumper is that perfect addition to their gift. And they come in so many different colours, characters etc.
Train tracks – This is probably our most played with toy ever! My toddler takes these train tracks out every single day and spends a lot fo time building them. We got ours from a lot of places: Ikea, Wilko, Amazon etc. They usually all go together and are such a great gift.
Puzzles – These are amazing not only because toddlers love puzzles, but also because they help with fine motor skills and problem solving. My toddler has lots of these Galt toys puzzles and they’re his favourite. I got him another set for this Christmas too.
Serving food pretend play – We have a set of plates and cups from Ikea that my toddler loves. He will serve us lots of food or pretend-coffee and he has a blast with it.
Pretend food – Going along with the servewear above, pretend food is a great one. Especially when it’s wooden play food that you can practice cutting on.
Christmas book – We have lots of the books from the Busy Friends range and they also have a Busy Christmas one. They have lovely illustrations and busy pages that you can spend a while chatting about.
